Exploring the wonders of Canada's Oceans Act marine protected areas = Explorer les merveilles des zones de protection marine en vertu de la Loi sur les océans du Canada.: Fs23-671/2022-PDF

"One way that Canada contributes to keeping our oceans healthy is by creating marine protected areas, or MPAs. MPAs are places in the ocean that offer protection to species, habitats and ecosystems by putting specific rules in place to manage human activities. In many cases, MPAs offer protection to species and habitats that have social, economic, and cultural importance to Indigenous Peoples, communities, and industries. In Canada, there are different types of MPAs that can be put in place. One type of MPA is called an Oceans Act Marine Protected Area. Currently, 14 Oceans Act MPAs have been established in the Pacific, Arctic, and Atlantic oceans. This colouring book allows you to explore these MPAs and some of the species, habitats and ecosystems that they protect."
