In addition to being the birthplace of canola (this plant was bred at the University of Manitoba), this prairie province has a robust agricultural sector characterized by the third largest farm area in Canada. Data from the 2021 Census of Agriculture also shows that Manitoba's agricultural industry is getting a boost from both younger farm operators and female farm operators"--Page 1.
