In October 2021, Canada announced support for the Global Methane Pledge, which aims to reduce global methane emissions by 30% below 2020 levels by 2030. The Government of Canada has committed to taking comprehensive domestic actions to reduce methane, including in the waste sector"--Introduction, page 1.
