"This independent assurance report was prepared by the Office of the Auditor General of Canada on the management of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Program. Our responsibility was to provide objective information, advice, and assurance to assist Parliament in its scrutiny of the government's management of resources and programs and to conclude on whether the management of the program complied in all significant respects with the applicable criteria. … The objective of this audit was to determine whether: Public Services and Procurement Canada effectively managed the cost, schedule, and scope of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Program while balancing the requirements of Parliament, the heritage character of the building, sustainability, and equitable access for parliamentarians and the public; Public Services and Procurement Canada, in cooperation with key partners and stakeholders, put in place a governance framework to support timely decisions for the Centre Block Rehabilitation Program"--About the audit, page 17.
