"To evaluate benthic conditions in the lower Trent River (Bay of Quinte Area of Concern) and whether they continue to improve over time, sediment contaminant concentrations, toxicity, benthic invertebrate community structure and benthic invertebrate tissue contaminant levels were assessed. Conditions were examined to assess the spatial differences between contaminated and reference sediments, and the temporal differences between conditions after 2006, when a similar study was conducted"--Summary, page i.
