"A study to assess the quality of surface waters in Banff National Park was conducted in 1975 and 1976. The study was jointly funded by Parks Canada of Department of Indian and Northern Affairs and conducted by the Water Quality Branch of the Department of Fisheries and Environment. The study documents the existing quality of a number of surface waters within the Park and indicates that the quality of the Bow River, Louise Creek, Sunshine Creek, Forty Mile Creek and the Spray River are degraded by human activities"--Abstract, page i.
