"The Bay of Quinte has changed from historical severe eutrophication to increased clarity and macrophyte coverage improving habitat for littoral fishes. The invasion of Zebra Mussels in the mid-1990s has been suspected of contributing to this change. This study assessed if macrophyte coverage has led to improved planktonic communities within the pelagic food web"--Abstract.
