"Chemical concentrations measured in groundwater at federal contaminated sites have in recent years been assessed against the Federal Interim Groundwater Quality Guidelines for Federal Contaminated Sites (FIGWQG; Government of Canada 2010, updated 2015). These guidelines were adopted or adapted from other jurisdictions in order to provide a nationally consistent approach for assessing groundwater at federal contaminated sites until groundwater quality guidelines could be developed through the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME)"--Background, page [2].
