"The study analyses the correlates of municipal expenditures in the 204 largest urban centres and 363 municipalities of Canada. It utilizes per capita expenditures information for seven functions: general government, fire protection, police protection, public works, sanitation and water works, recreation and community services; and the total per capita spending on these functions (total common functions)"--page i.
