High level RCMP - ASIRT investigation = Le détachement de la GRC de high level - enquête de l’ASIRT.: PS64-197/2022-MP4

"High Level, Alta. – The May 11, 2022, arrest of a male by a High Level RCMP officer has been the subject of public commentary on social media. On May 11, 2022, High Level RCMP received a complaint of intoxicated people causing a disturbance at the Flamingo Inn in High Level. A lone High Level RCMP police officer arrived on scene and finding the suspect in a very intoxicated state attempted to arrest the male. The male refused to follow commands and a physical interaction occurred. Upon arrival of a second officer, the male was successfully brought under control without further incident. High Level RCMP are conducting an internal review at this time with reference to the behaviours presented and the officers' conduct. The Alberta RCMP believes in processes that seek the facts and it's important that processes taken to assess the actions of all those involved, including the police, are fair, transparent, and defendable. RCMP training, policy, police response, and the member's duty status will be subject to review"--YouTube description.
