The feasibility of improving communications along the transportation corridor between Prince George and Prince Rupert.: Co22-612/1975E-PDF

"In this paper, then, an analysis of the socio-economic development of the corridor, in relation to the telecommunication services available in the corridor, will be made. The main finding of the first half of the paper is that the level of telecommunication services has been adequate in all areas of the telecommunication field except one. Television facilities are very poor. The second half of the paper, therefore, attempts to ascertain how the poor T.V. facilities might (have) affect(ed) the socio-economic development of the corridor. The costs, benefits, and institutional barriers in upgrading the level of television services are also examined"--page 3.
