"The Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health (ICRH) - one of the 13 Institutes of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) - supports research that focuses both on the health of major organ systems and related diseases, and on a variety of chronic diseases with the largest societal and economic burden. This reality, and the extraordinary diversity of these medical conditions, presents a major operational challenge for ICRH.
