"Marine Sciences, Central Region, forms a part of the Fisheries and Marine Service reporting directly to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Ocean and Aquatic Affairs. It consists of four Divisions; Hydrographic, Research and Development, Ships and Administration. The Hydrographic Division collects, processes and compiles data, for the construction and maintenance of navigation and resource charts, for the production of nautical publications, and for the support of engineering projects"--Page 1.
