"The Offshore Haida Gwaii Network Zones were delineated as part of the Northern Shelf Bioregion Marine Protected Area (MPA) Network planning process and represent candidate areas of importance to protect by the network planning partners (Canada, Province of British Columbia, Council of the Haida Nation and 14 other First Nations). This Biophysical and Ecological Overview Science Advisory Report and associated Research Document were co-authored and co-produced with the Council of the Haida Nation. These publications summarize the knowledge and existing data available on the ecosystems present within the seven zones"--Context, page 2.
