"The Geological Survey of Canada’s (GSC) Critical Minerals Geoscience and Data (CMGD) initiative is one part of the Government of Canada’s strategy to strengthen the supply chains of critical minerals that are needed for a green and digital economy. The initiative will focus on 14 critical minerals on Canada’s critical minerals list (cobalt, copper, germanium, graphite, indium, lithium, nickel, niobium, rare earth elements, scandium, tellurium, tungsten, vanadium and zinc) that are essential to sustainable economic development, but may, in some cases, be subject to a limited domestic supply and/or at risk of supply chain disruptions on a global scale"--page 1.
