Non-public property audit of mess management.: D2-662/2017E-PDF
"Mess operations on a base/wing are an important part of military culture. The CAF traditionally uses messes to build cohesion and esprit de corps. Messes create opportunities for CAF members to socialize and engage in leisure activities, while at the same time continuing to promote military values and traditions through attendance at official mess dinners and other mess functions. This audit focused on the governance and internal control framework surrounding mess operations. The audit was included in the NPP Risk-Based Internal Audit Plan for fiscal years (FY) 2016/17 to 2018/19"--Results in brief, page ii.
