"The objective of this audit was to assess whether there is an effective management control framework in place to support values and ethics at the Agency. The scope of the audit focused on the governance, risk management and internal controls in place with respect to values and ethics at the Agency during fiscal year 2012-13. More specifically, the audit focused on how the Agency has implemented the Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector. The audit did not examine the activities related to public health and research ethics. In the professional judgment of the Chief Audit Executive, sufficient and appropriate procedures were performed and evidence gathered to support the accuracy of the audit conclusion"--Executive summary, page i.
