"This report summarizes the results of an inguiry into the economic incentives (and disincentives) for the sustainability of land uses in the "Chignecto area", as defined in a more general study of land use changes in this area by the Inland Waters Directorate of Environment Canada (Arbour and Wilson, 1988). The issue of sustainability of land uses arises in particular with regard to the wetlands and dykelands which are a special feature of the Chignecto area"--Introduction, page 1.
