Data for prospectivity mapping of Canadian carbonatite-hosted REE +/- Nb deposits / M. Parsa, C.J.M. Lawley, R. Cumani, E. Schetselaar, J. Harris, D.R. Lentz, S.E. Zhang, and J.E. Bourdeau.M183-2/9195E-PDF

"Carbonatites are the primary geological source of rare earth elements (REEs) and niobium (Nb). The extensive industrial uses of REEs and Nb, combined with the continuously growing demand for these critical minerals, make carbonatite-hosted REE+/- deposits attractive targets for mineral exploration. Therefore, in support of mineral exploration, this multicomponent open file intends to grant access to datasets that might be useful for mineral prospectivity mapping (MPM) of Canadian carbonatite-hosted REE+/- deposits. The dataset discussed herein covers all of Canada's terrrestrial lands and are applicable for national scale-models"--Introduction, page 1.
