"An international subject matter expert panel led by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) was formed to provide an independent review of the Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) safety case and assessment documents as of October 9, 2019 for the proposed near surface disposal facility (NSDF). This review report is provided to the AECL and CNL for consideration in determining the completeness and defensibility of the safety case and assessment documents.
