"The Louisiana Waterthrush is widespread in the eastern United States, but its small Canadian breeding range is limited to southern Ontario and southwestern Quebec. In Ontario, it is found in highest abundance along the north shore of Lake Erie in Elgin and Norfolk counties. While breeding has been confirmed at only one location in Quebec, there are several recent breeding-season occurrences at sites in the Outaouais and Cantons-de-l'Est regions"--Executive summary, page iv.
