"Using data from the Survey of Maintenance Enforcement Programs (SMEP), this article provides a general overview of child and spousal support cases registered with maintenance enforcement programs (MEPs) from eight reporting jurisdictions, which cover 18% of the population: Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. In addition, fact sheets are presented with data on each metropolitan and non-metropolitan area within the eight provinces and territories"--Page 6.
