"The Paper, Chemical Agent Detector, 3-Way Liquid is used by the Canadian Forces for the detection of liquid chemical warfare agents and is supplied by Canada to many Western countries. Unfortunately, two of the three dyes used in the detector paper have been found to be mutagenic and thus a project was initiated to find non-mutagenic replacement dyes"--Abstract, page iii.
