Description of the OHGR database / by Anastasios Drosopoulos.: DR52-18/71-1994E-PDF

"This Technical Note describes the Osborne Head database, collected at Osborne Head Gunnery Range, OHGR, in November 1993, with the McMaster University IPIX radar, under contract to DSS. Representative examples are worked out for the different operational modes of the radar (staring, scanning, alternate/single polarization, single/multi frequency). Strengths and weaknesses of the database are pointed out as well. The purpose of this Technical Note is to serve as a guide to the database, presenting enough information to allow the extraction of individual datasets from the raw data. These can subsequently be used for sea clutter, target model validation and/or testing of signal processing techniques, leading to enhanced target deterction in sea clutter"--Abstract, page iii.
