An end-capped cylindrical hydrophone for underwater sound detection / D.F. Jones - S.E. Prasad - S.R. Kavanaugh; approved by C.W. Bright.: D68-21/31-1992E-PDF
"A small end-capped cylindrical hydrophone has been designed and built for use as a low cost, general purpose hydrophone. In the frequency range 15 Hz to 5 kHz, the measured free-field voltage sensitivity of the hydrophone is 195 dB re 1 V/muPa, which agrees with the theoretical sensitivity for capped piezoelectric ceramic tubes. In addition, three resonance frequencies below 45 kHz have been measured and identified with circumferential, longitudinal, and flexural modes of vibration"--Abstract, page ii.
