Chemical-specific sediment quality guidelines. : En13-11/2-2003E-PDF

"Canadian Sediment Quality Guidelines (CSQGs) are nationally endorsed, science-based benchmarks for evaluating the potential of adverse biological effects in aquatic systems. They are developed under the auspices of the Water Quality Task Group of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME), with Environment Canada's National Guidelines and Standards Office serving as the technical secretariat. CSQGs are defined as numerical concentrations or narrative statements that are recommended as levels that should result in negligible risk to biota, their functions, or any interactions that are integral to sustaining the health of ecosystems and the designated resource uses they support"--Page [1].
