"This Juristat article presents findings from the 2019 General Social Survey (GSS) on Victimization, focusing on self-reported victimization and perceptions of safety in the provinces and territories. In particular, this article focuses on the prevalence of victimization, the characteristics of victims and incidents, and the impacts and consequences of victimization. In addition, levels of reporting to police and factors associated with the decision to report victimization to police are examined"--Page 4.
