"This report presents the findings of the Evaluation of the Pacific Salmon Strategy Initiative (PSSI) conducted by the Evaluation Division at Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) in accordance with the Departmental Evaluation Plan. … The PSSI is a five-year initiative launched in June 2021 with the goal of stemming declines in Pacific salmon and rebuilding priority stocks to sustainable levels. The PSSI aims to achieve the following three outcomes: 1) restore vulnerable populations of Pacific salmon and their habitat, 2) support sustainable fishing opportunities and reduce impacts on vulnerable stocks, and 3) build capacity and work with partners to achieve better outcomes for Pacific salmon. …"--Pages 2, 3.
