"One of the environmental aspects of the proposed extension of the Quebec City Port is the reduction of the flushing of the water body and muds between the proposed extension and the existing north shoreline. This newly confined water body, which extends over the ecologically sensitive mudflats, will be receiving the flow conveyed by the Beauport River as well as the surface runoff from adjacent areas"--Page 2.
