"The Guildline model 9540 digital thermometer is an accurate, relatively low cost instrument with full computer interface capabilities. The Hydraulics Division has recently purchased two of these devices for frazil ice studies, which were subsequently modified with extended probe cables by MANTEC. An acceptance check and evaluation of the thermometers was carried out by the calibration laboratory, and the results are published in the following note"--Introduction, page 1.
