520 |a"The amplitude and periodicity of sea level oscillations in a basin are determined by its geometry and physical features. Each closed or semi-closed basin has a set of natural (eigen) modes that can be generated by external forcing and incoming open-ocean waves. The complicated coastline of British Columbia has a diversity of topographic features, including islands, straits, bays, fjords and waterways.
