Outline of boring sponge investigations in Malpeque Bay, P.E.I., 1952-1956 / authorship, F. E. Warburton ; revised and edited by J. C. Medcof.: Fs52-2/655E-PDF
"In May, 1952, the writer was appointed as a Junior Research Assistant (seasonal) by the Fisheries Research Board to investigate the biology of boring sponges, and to seek an economically feasible method for their control. Since damage was most severely felt in Malpeque Bay, P.E.I., where oyster culture is more intensively practised than elsewhere in the Maritimes, he was stationed at the Biological Sub-Station, on the Bideford River near Ellerslie, P.E.I."--Introduction, page [1].
