"A heavy rainstorm which began on July 13th, 1962 dumped from 6 to 8 inches of rain in the Coronation-Spendin area. From Searle Grain Co. records, somewhat less than this fell on an already fairly well soaked Castor Creek drainage basin upstream of the Parr-Castor reservoir. Regional Office personnel inspected the site of this reservoir on July 19th. The accompanying sketch and pictures show the condition of the new drop inlet spillway outlet and the lower end of the new emergency spillway"--Page [1].
