"Downstream migrating coho salmon (Oncohrynchus kisutch) smolts in the Keogh River, Vancouver Island, British Columbia were fin marked (adipose-only) and tagged (coded-wire nosetag). In 1977, 42,263 smolts were tagged; in 1978, 28,862. Smolt production and migration timing were measured. Age and size sampling indicated that size of smolts varied significantly among tributary streams"--Abstract, page i.
