An investigation of juvenile salmonid utilization of the delta-lakefront area of the Adams River, Shuswap Lake / by C.C. Graham and L.R. Russell.Fs97-4/1508E-PDF

"Investigations of juvenile salmonid utilization of the Adams River delta-lakefront were undertaken between April and November 1977. This investigation included an assessment of rearing habitat provided by the delta-lakefront area as well as several other adjacent areas. In addition, information is provided on zooplankton and zoobenthos sampling, fish stomach content analysis and flood plain mapping. The results of the study indicate that the delta-lakefront area is utilized by juvenile chinook and coho for a four-month period of time (April-July). This period of utilization coincides with the period of time in which flood waters inundate the area. Some recommendations for land use control in this area are made"--Abstract, page i.
