"A method has been found whereby a good estimate of the maximum temperature can be made from the tephigram. A graph has been plotted in order that allowance may be made for the effect of the moisture in the atmosphere. There is evidence that the maximum temperature may be influenced by the wind speed. A table has been prepared showing the maximum amount of modification resulting from insolation for every month of the year"--Summary, page [1].
