Ichthyoparasites of Manitoba : literature review and bibliography / by G.A. Lubinsky and J.S. Loch.Fs97-4/1513E-PDF

"The present review of the literature on fish parasites of Manitoba is based both on the published papers and on the relevant manuscript reports to the Federal and Provincial Governments, as well as on theses submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Manitoba, up to the end of 1978. It lists 118 sources of information. One hundred and sixty-one species of fish parasites are evidently known to occur in Manitoba: 14 protozoans, 28 monogenaens, 39 trematodes, 33 cestodes, 12 acanthocephalans, 14 nematodes and 17 crustaceans. To this can be added 4 species of Manitoba leeches, which were collected directly from fishes. However., some of the data available are based on field identification, and are in need of confirmation"--Abstract, page iv.
