"In accordance with commitments to the International North Pacific Fisheries Commission, two Canadian vessels have fished for salmon in the northeast Pacific each summer since 1956 (roughly within the area bounded by north latitudes 45° and 58°, and west longitudes 135° and 155°). The purpose has been to provide information on the distributions and migrations of the salmon"--Introduction, page [1].
