"In this report, we present the first inventory of gossans identified in northern Canada, based on 68 sources of information. The goals of the inventory are to (1) provide a list of geographic coordinates for gossans in areas where their occurrence was reported, (2) emphasize the importance of including gossans on geological maps and in field reports, and (3) provide the fundamental information needed to develop new research and mineral exploration projects"--Introduction, page 1.
