"In this paper there are presented the mean equivalent tail wind and its standard deviation at 700 and 500 mb, for each month of the year, and for each direction, for the following routes: Montreal-Goose Bay, Goose Bay-Keflavik, Goose Bay-Prestwick, Gander-London, Gander-Azores, Vancouver-Anchorage, and Anchorage-Shemya. From these data, presented for various true air speeds, the frequency distribution of flight times can be evaluated"--Summary, page [1].
