520	3 |a"Catch and effort statistics for Pacific Fishery Management Area 12 are presented for the main months of the fishery, from April to August, 1992. The statistics were derived by a combination of access point and roving creel surveys and a fishing lodge census. This was the second year creel surveys were conducted in this Area. From April to August, Area 12 anglers conducted an estimated 37,292 boat trips and kept 48,682 coho, 39,644 pink, 14,719 chinook, 2,015 sockeye and 162 chum salmon, as well as 14,740 rockfish, 1,212 lingcod and 1,304 halibut. Among salmon examined for marks, 4.7% of chinook and 2.5% of coho had adipose fin clips. The chinook catch consisted of 48% age 4 fish, 29% age 3, 21% age 5 and older and 2% age 2 fish"--Abstract, page vi.
