A time diversity modulation strategy for the satellite-mobile channel : final report / prepared by M. Moher.Co24-3/1-SP86-002E-PDF

"This report documents a study of a modulation and coding strategy which uses time diversity to combat the effects of the multipath fading which is typical of a satellite to mobile channel. This modulation and coding strategy combines several innovative techniques in attempting to maximize the performance that can be obtained over fading channels. The results of this study show that this approach can yield significant improvements in the bit error rate performance of fading channels and point to ways of obtaining even further improvements"--Introduction, page 1.
