Oyster mortality in the Charlottetown region / R.E.S. Homans.Fs53-13/1938E-PDF

"Investigation of the disease which appeared among oysters in the Charlottetown region during 1936 was begun in 1937 and continued this year. Stations were located in the diseased areas, as in 1937, at which periodic observations on the course of the disease and the resultant mortality were made from June 8th to November 25th, 1938. Hydrographical records were obtained at each of these locations. Transfer experiments of oysters from several outside regions into the diseased areas were made in an attempt to determine the reactions of these oysters to the disease"--Introduction.
