Surface circulation in the Nanaimo River estuary and adjacent waters, June 17-21, 1974 / by John R. Sibert.: Fs97-4/1602E-PDF
"Surface currents in the vicinity of the Nanaimo River estuary were measured using radar-reflective drogues and a fixed radar during June 17-21, 1974. Currents were wind dominated except near the edge of the delta and velocities were generally less than 0.25 m s⁻¹ (ca. 0.5 kt). Transport of water out of the estuary is compared to input from the Nanaimo River. Movement and accumulation of spills are discussed"--Abstract, page iii.
