"The purpose of the May 25-June 18, 1976 cruise was to examine the composition and distribution of midwater fishes, particularly Pacific hake (Merluccius productus), walleye pollock (Theragra chalcogramma) and spiny dogfish (Squalus acanthias), and to examine the post-spawning biology of hake and pollock in the Strait of Georgia. A secondary purpose was to study the horizontal and vertical distribution of juvenile Pacific hake and walleye pollock in the Strait of Georgia. This report describes the survey design and summarizes the results of catch compositions and biological analyses. …"--Introduction, page [1].
