Guidelines for watercourse crossings in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.Fs104-44/2025E-PDF

"This document was prepared to support compliance with the Fisheries Act in combination with the relevant provisions of the Species at Risk Act and the Aquatic Invasive Species Regulations. The focus is on the design, installation, and maintenance of watercourse crossings in the provinces of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Proper planning in the early phases of a watercourse crossing project fosters the effective and efficient protection of fish and fish habitat. These guidelines contain information for new, replacement, and retrofitted crossings in freshwater habitats. Crossings under tidal influence are especially complex and require special considerations that are outside of the scope of this document"--Purpose, page 6.
