"A user's manual for the submarine pressure hull finite element model generator program SUBHUL is presented. SUBHUL has been designed to produce model, mass, boundary condition, and load files for the finite element program VAST. The manual describes typical submarine geometry and structural details. Organization of the program is given along with the procedure for model generation. Hard copies of terminal session prompts and responses are included to illustrate the use of the program. The VAST input files produced by SUBHUL are described. Examples of stress, buckling, and vibration analysis using VAST are provided with the results illustrated in the form of graphic output"--Abstract, page ii.
