PRODAT : a versatile tool for spectral analysis and display / by Joseph B. Farrell - Garry J. Heard ; approved by A.A. Bruce.: D68-22/7-1992E-PDF
"This document describes an acoustic processing system developed at the Defence Research Establishment Atlantic (DREA) for Concurrent 5000-6000 series and Digital Equipment Corporation VAX computers. PRODAT, the software at the heart of this system, provides a versatile tool for real-time data acquisition, spectral analysis, spectral calibration, greyscaling and display. One of the most important features of PRODAT (and the one which sets it apart from commercially available packages) is its ability to display greyscale images on-screen in real time and to provide the user with hardcopies of those greyscales. All data acquisition, analysis and display parameters are user-selectable, providing the user with an easily customized acoustic processing environment. Each of the many options available to users of the PRODAT system will be described in detail in this document, and illustrative examples of many features will be provided"--Abstract, page ii.
