"Mail surveys collected 1984/85 licence year catch and effort data on recreational fishing in B.C. tidal waters. During 1,990,000 angler days, adult anglers caught and kept 1,108,000 salmon including 490,000 chinook and 565,000 coho. Most effort was from boats and directed towards salmon in general. Juvenile anglers caught and kept an additional 82,000 chinook and 99,000 coho during 350,000 angler days. Problems related to mail surveys are reviewed"--Abstract, page iii.
