"The observations from Ottawa and Swift Current were analyzed in four ways: (1) statistical correlations were made between water loss and various meteorological elements; (2) water losses from the two types of instruments were compared with computed open water evaporation; (3) the mass transfer approach to evaporation was considered, and (4) the energy balance of the evaporation instruments was examined"--Page [1].
